Issued from the National Weather Forecasting Centre Nadi at 5:30am on Saturday the 10th of January 2026

Situation: A trough of low pressure lies slow moving over the southern parts of Fiji. The associated clouds and showers affects the
southern parts of the group and is expected to gradually spread to the rest of the group in the next few days.

Forecast to midnight tonight for the Fiji group:
Occasional showers, heavy at times and few thunderstorms over Kadavu and nearby smaller islands, Lomaiviti and the southern Lau group
including Yasayasa Moala. Cloudy periods with some showers with isolated thunderstorm and heavy falls over Serua-Namosi, Navua-Suva-Nausori, Tailevu North,
Naitasiri, Interior Ra, Cakaudrove, Southern Bua, Taveuni and nearby smaller islands, Yasawa, Mamanuca and northern Lau groups. Elsewhere,
cloudy periods with brief showers, with isolated afternoon or evening thunderstorm and heavy falls.
Isolated afternoon or evening thunderstorms with heavy falls may lead to flash flooding of low lying areas. Moderate to fresh east to northeast winds. Moderate seas.

Outlook for Sunday : Occasional rain with isolated thunderstorm and heavy falls over Navua-Suva-Nausori, Serua-Namosi, Tailevu North-Naitasiri-Ra, eastern Macuata, Cakaudrove and southern Bua provinces, Kadavu and nearby smaller islands, Lau and Lomaiviti group.
Elsewhere, afternoon or evening showers. and thunderstorm Isolated thunderstorms with heavy falls may lead to flash flooding of low lying areas.
Moderate northeast to southeast winds. Moderate seas.

For Navua / Suva / Nausori :
Cloudy periods with some showers, with isolated thunderstorms and heavy falls.
