A FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN FORCE FOR THE WHOLE OF VITI LEVU.

A FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN FORCE FOR ALL LOW LYING FLOOD PRONE AREAS ADJACENT TO AND DOWNSTREAM OF NAKAUVADRA RIVER [RAKIRAKI TOWN], NASEYANI AT YAQARA RIVER, TAVUA RIVER AND FLOOD PLAINS OF BA RIVER.

A FLOOD ALERT REMAINS IN FORCE FOR ALL LOW LYING FLOOD PRONE AREAS ADJACENT TO AND DOWNSTREAM OF NADI RIVER, NAWAKA RIVER AND TUVA RIVER IN NADROGA.

A STRONG WIND WARNING REMAINS IN FORCE FOR LAND AREAS OF THE WESTERN DIVISION, YASAWA AND MAMANUCA GROUPS, KADAVU AND NEARBY SMALLER ISLANDS, LAU AND LOMAIVITI GROUPS, MACUATA, BUA, TAVEUNI AND NEARBY SMALLER ISLANDS.

Situation: An active trough of low pressure with associated rain-bands and strong northwesterly winds continues to affects the country.

Forecast to midnight tonight for the Fiji group:
For the Western Division [Including Yasawa and Mamanuca groups], Kadavu and nearby smaller islands, Lau and Lomaiviti groups: Expect strong northwest winds with average speeds of 45km/hr with gusts to 75km/hr. Winds easing to moderate to fresh from later today.

For Macuata and Bua Province:
Expect strong northwest winds with average speeds of 40km/hr with gusts to 60km/hr. Winds easing to moderate to fresh from later today.
Rough to very rough seas. Seas becoming moderate to rough from later today

For the rest of Fiji:
Moderate to fresh north to northwesterly winds, gusty at times. Moderate to rough seas.

Occasional to periods of rain, heavy at times and few thunderstorms over most places.

Outlook for Tuesday : Occasional rain with isolated heavy falls and few thunderstorms over most places. Localised heavy falls may lead to flash flooding over low lying and flood prone areas. Moderate to fresh northwesterly winds, gusty at times. Moderate to rough seas.
