Swire Shipping Fijian Drua coach Mick Byrne will be with the side again next season.
The 64-year-old signed for the Drua last year for two seasons.
Byrne says continuity is a big thing for the side and coaching team.
He says they know where they’ve come from and as a coach, he’ll sit down and have a look at where they want to go next year because he understands the path they’ve been down.
Byrne adds it also builds confidence with other coaches when they have some continuity and it’ll be hard for a new coach.
“If you coming in for the first time and you don’t know where the team’s been and you’re starting again that’s a difficult position so it’s a great opportunity for the Drua that we going to have some continuity in that team because we know where we’ve been, we know where we’ve come from and we know where we want to go so we’ll stay on that path and we’ll keep striving for success.”
The Drua coach also believes they need to build on what they’ve achieved this year next season.
