A month ago, Suva FC was on the brink of relegation from the Premier League.

This Saturday, they will compete for a place in the final of the Rooster Chicken/Scoops Ice Cream Battle of the Giants.

After facing criticism from local football fans for their inclusion in the BOG, Suva is now one of the four teams remaining in the tournament.

Coach Babs Khan says they have had their fair share of struggle but will need to up the tempo this weekend.

“To come back after 8 months, there have been 5 other coaches before me, the system is different now but nevertheless I’m working hard. We’ve worked on some things prior to this tournament and it’s paying dividends and we’ll go back and look at what to work on.”

Suva plays Nadi on Saturday at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva at 4.30 pm, while at 2 pm, Lautoka plays Rewa.
