A fundraiser was held on Tuesday night by members of the Fiji Amateur Boxing Association to help raise funds for tournaments set to be held later this year.
This was confirmed by Fiji Boxing head coach Cam Todd, who said the fundraiser would help his boxers prepare for a handful of tournaments, and visitations from overseas clubs later this year.
He said he was happy with the turnout at the fundraising yesterday, and thanked those who attended for their support for the association.

Todd said the boxer sold food products like pizza and other meals to families and friends of the boxers who attended.
“Because we’re an amateur sport, and we don’t get a lot of funding. Just to help get a little bit more money for our amateur team, so we had our youth and junior boxers and two of our elite squad helping out, making pizzas, and then selling pizzas at the market night.”
He adds they are expecting two overseas-based clubs to be visiting the country in September and November.
