The government has handed over a solar drier to the Taveuni Multiracial Co-operative, aimed at boosting the marketing of its products both locally and internationally.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Trade Cooperatives, Small and Medium Enterprises and Communications, Manoa Kamikamica, says the project reflects the government’s commitment to supporting the sector.
The total cost of the project is $56,722.95, with the government contributing two-thirds of the cost value at $37,815.30 and the cooperative paying the remaining third at $18,907.65.
