Government and the Ministry of Health greatly appreciates any assistance and donations towards improving its services to the people.
This was said by Health Minister Doctor Atonio Lalabalavu while accepting a donation of medical wipes and gumboots through Namatakula Village-based NGO, Kai ni Cola in Nadroga yesterday.
Lalabalavu says the medical wipes will be distributed to health facilities and hospitals in the Nadroga/Navosa province while the gumboots will be distributed to students of various schools through the Ministry of Education.
He says such assistance and partnerships between government and communities will help alleviate the challenges that we are facing.
Kai ni Cola Director and former parliamentarian Inosi Kuridrani says the items were donated by the Sikh community in Sydney, Australia.
Kuridrani says while the medical wipes will help health officials, the gumboots are much-needed item for students of rural and remote areas in Navosa who have to travel barefoot to and from their schools.
