The government, through the 2023 National Economic Summit, has identified that there is a need to foster a culture of entrepreneurship and innovation that can drive economic growth and job creation.
Minister for Trade Manoa Kamikamica says to do this, they have to invest and build the capacity of people, especially women and youths, to be innovative and entrepreneurial.
Kamikamica says there is a need to tackle the vulnerabilities head-on.

He adds that the Pacific region is highly vulnerable to external shocks, including natural disasters, climate change, and economic downturns.
Therefore, the Minister says taking bold and decisive actions, at the national, regional, and global levels is vital to building resilient and diversified economies.
