Kundan Singh Supermarket will be organizing market nights every month with the initiative of encouraging charitable work.
This has been highlighted by Marketing Officer and Event Coordinator Lagivae Atu, who states that the supermarket is organizing more charitable work.
She adds that the collected revenue will be directed to non-governmental organizations, as the aim of the market night is to give small businesses and organizations a better platform.
“We’re also big on charity. We rotate a tent for charities and non-profits at each market we host. This month, we have the Solo Moms Project.”
Atu says many vendors have expressed their appreciation and gratitude to the supermarket for organizing the village market.
Laban’s Gift Shop owner, Lisdpa Tekita, says that while they have an online business, the market night provides them with greater recognition.
“It’s a great experience. Since we’re an online business, we’re so used to talking to customers virtually, so we don’t have that personal connection, but coming out, we get to see our customers and talk to them face-to-face, which is different but good.”
The Kundan Singh Village Market will be conducted once every month to help MSMEs and SMEs also.
