A woman passed away after she was involved in a motor vehicle accident in Lautoka this morning.

Fiji Police Force’s Director Traffic, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Mitieli Divuana says the victim was driving along the M.N Naidu road after 8am this morning, when she allegedly lost control of her vehicle, causing it to veer off the road and hit a tree.

She was conveyed to the Lautoka Hospital where she was admitted and later passed away.

A postmortem examination will be conducted to confirm the victim’s cause of death.
