Man dies following alleged assault

Police are investigating the death of a 33-year-old man following an alleged assault in Suva yesterday morning.

According to police, medical authorities reported the incident after the victim was admitted to the Colonial War Memorial Hospital in critical condition at around 1am.

He passed away later in the afternoon.

According to the Police, the cause of death will be determined by a post-mortem examination.
