Team Fiji has secured another medal in the pool at the 2023 Pacific Games.

The 4×100 metres women’s medley relay team won the silver medal with a time of 4 minutes 32 seconds last night.

The team consisted of Anahira McCutcheon, Rosemarie Rova, Kelera Mudunasoko and Eden Waqainabete.

In the process, McCutcheon won her ninth medal at the 2023 Pacific Games while it was the fifth medal for Mudunasoko.

McCutcheon earlier won a bronze medal in the pool, this time in the women’s 100 metres backstroke, adding she did not expect to win this many medals at the

“Seeing as I am the youngest, it is sort of unexpected and weird but I definitely did enjoy it but when I got to the last 25 meters, I did not enjoy it. It was really hard.”

McCutcheon given that it was the final day of the swimming competition, she was determined to empty the tank and to come away with some more medal was truly rewarding.
