Mudunasoko says she had a simple race plan.

“It feels great, words can’t really describe how I really feel right now getting my first gold medal, my plan was just to whack it, just go hard on the first lap and the second lap in the last 15 I just go as hard as I can and I’m really happy with the result.”

Meanwhile, Anahira McCutcheon settled for bronze in the 100-meter freestyle event.

The Fiji swimming 4×50 meters freestyle relay team won silver as well.

Other Team Fiji medalists yesterday were Sandip Pala, Manasa Naqelevuki and Adi Drodrolagi Kidia from Karate.

Pala and Naqelevuki won silver while Kidia finished third with a bronze.

Weightlifter Timothy Vakuruivalu bagged 2 silver and a bronze in the men’s 102kg category.

It was her sixth medal of the Games.
