Fiji Airways has today unveiled a series of significant sponsorship deals for the year 2024.
The national carrier of Fiji has solidified its commitment to sports, securing partnerships with renowned teams such as the Melbourne Storm, Kaiviti Silktails, Fijian Drua, Fiji Rugby Union, and the LA Galaxy.
Managing Director and CEO Andre Viljoen says this formidable collaboration marks a milestone in the airline’s history, demonstrating their unwavering support for sports and athletes.
Viljoen says the new sponsorships and partnerships will also capture audiences not only in their key markets but globally.
“In order to capitalize on these sponsorships, our airline will also introduce packages and promotions with exclusive airfares, holiday packages and fan experiences and this will apply to all our partnerships. An integral part of the plans for 2024 are to revive many of the Company’s community outreach programmes such as rugby, netball and other sports clinics.”
Viljoen further highlights that the Melbourne Storm, Fiji 7s Fijian Drua, Kaiviti Silktails and LA Galaxy have a large social media following and fanbases of loyal supporters who are now potential guests for Fiji Airways.
Melbourne Storm CEO Justin Rodski says they know this partnership will mean a lot to Fiji and they are excited about the new journey.
“This partnership will see Fiji Airways become our premium partner, which includes naming rights of our club’s world-class game day hospitality experience at Amy Park, named the new Fiji Airways lounge. The Fiji Airways logo, as you would have seen on Christian shorts, will also appear on the front of the Melbourne Storm shorts.”
While the value of the deals were not revealed, it is said to be a significant amount.
