The United Nations Population Fund Executive Director, Dr. Natalia Kanem, has reminded midwives at the Makoi Maternity Unit that they are part of a noble profession.
Dr. Kamen was at the facility to hand over equipment for midwives donated by UNFPA.
She says they have chosen to serve women in their time of need.

The UNFPA Director says their ideas are needed to keep improving the facilities, networks, and recognition so people can better understand their roles.
She also congratulated student midwives for being part of the noble profession.
