Ying expresses interest to help Fiji tackle cyber-crime

China’s Deputy Director-General of the Sichuan Public Security Department Zhang Ying has expressed his interest in helping Fiji tackle cyber-crime and drug issues.

While welcoming the Deputy Director General’s Delegation, Police Commissioner Brigadier General Sitiveni Qiliho acknowledged the support of the People’s Republic of China’s Ministry of Public Security by providing training in light of the growing security threats brought on by transnational crimes.

The Deputy Director-General also expressed his interest in providing more training for Fijian Officers to counter crimes.

The Fiji Police Force and the Sichuan Province’s Public Security Department have in the past engaged in people to people exchange programs.
